Are you ready to travel across Europe and be part of a dynamic team that rigs and derigs cranes on major international projects? As a Rigger at Sarens, youâll play a key role in lifting specialized equipment and assembling/disassembling cranes and other heavy transport systems. Youâll work in a team of 3â4 people, under the guidance of the Crane Group Manager and Team Planner, ensuring every job is executed safely and in line with Sarens SHEQ standards. Your work will start with training and onboarding at our Wolvertem HQ before heading out to various European job sites. Your job in a nutshell:
- Prepare and execute lifting of specialized equipment across European projects.
- Assemble and disassemble cranes and other lifting/transporting systems and structures.
- Conduct daily visual inspections and complete required checklists.
- Perform Work Place Inspections (WPI) and ensure compliance with Sarens SHEQ standards.
- Follow hygiene and environmental regulations to meet quality goals.
- Work in rotating teams across international job sites.
Reporting line: Crane Group Manager and Team Planner
Team setup: Youâll work in a team of 3â4 people, part of a larger network of mobile teams across Europe.
ABOUT YOU
Weâre looking for someone whoâs flexible, safety-conscious, and eager to learn. You donât need years of experienceâjust the right mindset and a willingness to grow. If youâve worked with cranes before, thatâs a big plus!
- Experience in assembling/disassembling cranes is desirable.
- Certifications: IS-006 (securing critical loads) and/or VCA safety certificate. Forklift, telehandler, aerial platform certificates are a plus.
- Flexibility to work on a 6-2 rotation schedule.
- Willingness to travel and work at international job sites (mainly Europe).
- Strong commitment to safety and operational excellence.
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics.
- Proficiency in English, both spoken and written.
- Excellent communication and situational awareness.
- Ability to work at heights exceeding 3 meters.
- Team player with a proactive attitude.
