Project Engineer - Structural Engineering

Structural Expert. Analytical Thinker. Solution Driver.

As a Project Engineer, you combine structural engineering expertise with strong analytical skills to develop technical solutions for some of the most challenging heavy lifting projects worldwide. We are specifically looking for an experienced engineer with a strong background in structural engineering and a good knowledge of German structural design standards and regulations.
From steel structures and temporary works to custom-engineered support solutions, you assess structural feasibility, perform calculations and provide expert advice for complex projects. You are the go-to person when structural engineering questions arise. Working closely with project teams, CAD Designers and operational colleagues, you translate engineering challenges into practical, safe and workable solutions.

Join the force behind #Nothing too heavy, Nothing too high

Not every engineer gets excited by loads, forces and structural calculations. This role is for someone who does.

Your job in a nutshell:

  • Analyze engineering requests, project requirements, technical drawings and client information.
  • Perform structural calculations and assess the feasibility of technical solutions.
  • Develop tailor-made structural concepts and support solutions for heavy lifting projects.
  • Apply German norms and structural design standards to ensure compliance and safety.
  • Act as a technical reference for structural engineering questions within the organization.
  • Support project teams with expert technical advice during project preparation.
  • Guide CAD Designers in developing structural drawings and technical documentation.
  • Prepare engineering documentation, calculations and technical deliverables.
  • Visit project sites to validate concepts, support execution and translate on-site insights into improvements for future projects.
  • Continuously deepen your expertise in structural engineering, heavy lifting and industry standards.

About you.

Structural engineering is more than your profession; it is something that genuinely interests you.
You understand how loads, forces and structural behaviour influence engineering decisions. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges and developing practical solutions that combine safety, feasibility and efficiency.

Profile requirements:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent through experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience within structural engineering or a comparable technical environment.
  • Good knowledge of German structural design standards and regulations.
  • Experience performing structural calculations and assessing load-bearing constructions.
  • Experience with steel structures, temporary works or heavy industrial constructions.
  • Ability to translate complex structural challenges into practical and workable engineering solutions.
  • Comfortable performing engineering calculations and interpreting technical drawings.
  • Able to collaborate effectively with fellow Project Engineers, CAD Designers and operational colleagues.
  • Good communication skills in English. German is a strong asset. Dutch and/or French are an asset.
  • Curious, analytical and eager to further develop expertise within a heavy lifting environment.
