Truck Driver - Project 1

As a truck driver, you make sure that all the material gets to the right place on site in a timely, safe and efficient manner. Special transport on a construction site can provide the necessary challenges within the job. No urgent transport waiting to happen? You will gladly help with loading and unloading, slinging and rigging during lifting operations... In short, a varied, hands-on position in the fresh air on a very interesting construction project.

Sarens Projects is for the upcoming 3 years involved in a huge industrial building project, located in Antwerp harbor region. On the project site, we will deliver all kinds of hoisting services, as from the smallest lift till the biggest load-out, in a safe, qualitative and efficient way. To reinforce our project connected operations crew, we are looking Truck Drivers.
Your job as a Truck driver in a nutshell:
- Following traffic rules, as well as the specific safety rules of Sarens and the client on the construction site.
- Taking care of transport on and to the construction site.
- Safely and efficiently loading and unloading materials.
- Always keeping a watchful eye on whether loads are safely loaded.
- Performing first-line maintenance of the truck and checking on-board documents
- Intervening as a rigger in the many lifting operations.
In this position, you will report to the Supervisor. You work partly independently, as well as in a team with 1 or 2 Riggers. In addition, you will be part of big on-site operational crew: riggers, crane operators, supervisors, site managers, SHEQ coordinators...
About you.
We are
looking for experienced truck drivers, a stress-resistant initiator
and team player. A nice degree is a nice asset, but at Sarens we value the
right mentality: a sense of responsibility, an eye for safety, logical insight, doer's mentality, flexible attitude, an interest in large machines and technology.
Profile requirements:
- Experience as a truck driver, preferably in the heavy lifting or construction world
- In possession of a driving license CE + necessary professional competence (code 95)
- VCA or other safety certificate is a great asset. IS-006 or another rigger certificate is a plus
- Basic knowledge of mechanics and hydraulics
- Solid knowledge of English to ensure smooth communication on site

- Project Based, Belgian contract - full-time (Possible in a rotation system). Estimated duration: 3 years.
