KAM - Multimodal


As Multi-modal Key Account Manager, you take ownership of commercial growth across Kazakhstan, with a strong base in Almaty. You build long-term partnerships in oil & gas, construction, mining and industrial sectors, translating complex logistics needs into reliable, profitable solutions. From first contact to handover, you drive the full sales cycle with autonomy and precision. You work closely with Operations, Procurement and Finance to ensure every deal is competitive, executable and safe.

Your job in a nutshell:

  • Identify, target and acquire new clients in oil & gas, construction, mining and industrial sectors
  • Conduct sales visits, presentations and commercial meetings across Kazakhstan
  • Build and manage a strong sales pipeline to achieve monthly and annual targets
  • Prepare quotations, commercial offers and tailored service proposals
  • Negotiate pricing and terms while protecting company profitability
  • Coordinate with Operations and Procurement to secure accurate freight and logistics rates
  • Ensure smooth handover of new business to Operations, including SOPs and service details
  • Support Finance with invoice questions and payment follow-up where needed
  • Maintain client data, visit reports and CRM records (ERP implementation planned)
  • Submit clear weekly and monthly sales reports
  • Report to the Country / Branch Manager Kazakhstan and work closely with the local team

ABOUT YOU

You are a hands-on logistics sales professional who thrives in technical, international environments. You combine commercial drive with relationship-building skills and know how to earn trust across all levels of a client organisation. You enjoy working independently, take ownership of your targets and follow through from first lead to signed deal.

  • 3–7 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics sales (required)
  • Strong knowledge of multi-modal logistics solutions: sea, air and road transport (required)
  • Proven ability to develop new business and close profitable deals (required)
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills (required)
  • Ability to work independently and deliver against clear sales targets (required)
  • Fluent in English and Russian or Kazakh (required)
  • Established network in oil & gas, construction, mining or industrial sectors (preferred)
