Operations Administrator

Operations Administrator | Cape Town

At Sarens, we deliver heavy lifting, engineered transport and specialised crane solutions across some of the world's most challenging projects. We are looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Operations Administrator to join our project team and support the successful execution of site operations. As the central administrative point on site, you will work closely with the Project Manager and Site Manager to ensure operational records, reporting, timesheets, documentation and site administration activities are completed accurately and efficiently.

PROFILE

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to the Project Manager and Site Manager.
  • Maintain project and site records, registers, trackers and filing systems.
  • Compile and distribute operational reports and project documentation.
  • Capture and maintain information on company systems and databases.
  • Process timesheets and maintain accurate attendance records.
  • Manage purchase orders, invoices and supporting documentation.
  • Track outstanding actions, approvals and operational documentation.
  • Assist with planning, coordination and reporting activities on site.
  • Maintain document control and ensure records remain accurate and up to date.
  • Support mobilisation, site access and personnel administration activities.
  • Assist with SHEQ-related administrative requirements and audits.
  • Liaise with site personnel, subcontractors, suppliers and support departments.
  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and project requirements.

What We're Looking For

  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Qualification in Administration, Business Administration, Operations Management or a related field will be advantageous.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in an administrative role within construction, engineering, mining, heavy lifting, logistics or a project environment.
  • Experience supporting project or operational teams.
  • Experience with timesheets, reporting, document control, purchase orders and invoicing.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with ERP systems will be advantageous.
