Chief Accountant
Accurate – Accountable – Hands-on
You keep the numbers solid and the business in control. As Chief Accountant in Atyrau, you lead all accounting and reporting activities, ensuring full compliance with local regulations and Sarens standards. You close the books with precision, guide your team with clarity, and turn financial data into reliable insights. You work closely with headquarters to meet group reporting requirements and support project accounting on site.

Your job in a nutshell:
- You own day-to-day accounting: general ledger, payables, receivables and payroll
- You ensure timely and accurate monthly, quarterly and yearly closings
- You manage tax reporting and secure full compliance with local legislation
- You coordinate internal and external audits and maintain clean documentation
- You safeguard Sarens financial policies and internal controls in all processes
- You lead and develop the accounting team, setting clear priorities and standards
- You support cost allocation and project accounting activities on site
- You connect with headquarters and deliver accurate group reporting
- You work in Atyrau on a 5/2 schedule and collaborate with local and global teams
- You report into the local finance leadership and work closely with Group Finance
ABOUT YOU
You are a detail-focused finance professional who takes ownership and delivers with consistency. You combine technical expertise with leadership skills, guiding your team while keeping a clear overview of deadlines and compliance. You communicate confidently in an international environment and you are comfortable working in a multinational, project-driven organisation.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
- Professional certification (or in progress)
- 5–8 years of accounting experience, including team supervision
- Solid knowledge of accounting standards and tax compliance
- Experience in multinational environments is a strong plus
- Proficiency in ERP systems (1C) and Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Languages: English and Russian and/or Kazakh
